Une Aurore poétiquement personnifiée, dans une ballade du XVIIe siècle, avec une très belle mélodie harmonisée de César Geoffray.
L'Aurore ouvre ses yeux : la nuit s'achève, l'étang s'anime, son frais regard d'enfant est rempli de rêve...
Les Saltimbanques
Guillaume Apollinaire (1880-1918), dans ce poème de 1913, laisse transparaître un motif essentiel de sa poésie, les gens du voyage. Le mouvement est un leitmotiv : les baladins s'éloignent, les enfants s'en vont, les autres suivent en rêvant.
Bessières a su adapter sa mélodie et son arrangement vocal à ce beau texte.
Sonnet à Marie
Ce poème de Pierre de Ronsard (1524-1585) reste dans le discours fréquent de cet auteur : Le temps s'en va ; le temps non, mais nous nous en allons ; et de nos amours, quand nous serons morts, on n'en parlera plus. Pour cette raison, Madame, aimez-moi pendant que vous êtes belle !
Même si on peut contester la "beauté" de la pensée, le texte se veut persuasif et cherche à convaincre la belle... G. Dehé a mis ce poème en musique dans un style modal, moderne certes, mais sur un principe très utilisé à cette époque.
Le Temps a laissé
Charles d'Orléans (1394-1465) a écrit ce beau poème qui décrit l'arrivée du printemps : Le temps a laissé son manteau de vent, de froidure et de pluie ; il s'est vêtu de broderies, de soleil luisant clair et beau...
Jacques Chailley (1910-1999), musicologue, compositeur, a su mettre en musique ce superbe texte dans un style adéquat.
